The Province of Quebec Rifle Association ( PQRA ) was founded in 1869. It is one of the oldest provincial association, under the Dominion of Canada Rifle Association ( DCRA ).

The mission of the association is to teach and promote fullbore rifle shooting from both competitive and recreational standpoints in an environment where SAFETY is first and foremost.

It is responsible of the coordination for its membership of the training and  matches located on Batoche range, located on CFB Valcartier, near  Québec city, with shooting distances

between  100 and 600 yards.

It also supports various shooting clubs and associations that are pursuing the same mission.
